Enhancing Human & Organization Potential

Certified Practitioners

  • Christina Pitts and Lynne Aldrich are Advanced Practitioners in Experiential Learning with Horses. Our Certificate Program is offered through Lake Erie College Business School, a nationally-acclaimed Equine Learning environment. We continue to pursue mastery in this field.
  • The Program Director is Jackie Lowe Stevenson, an internationally- certified Experiential Learning with Horses Professional. Jackie’s also an executive coach and organization consultant, applying ELH principles in business, nonprofit and individual settings.

The Horses Work

  • This work is about partnering with horses/herds in a respectful, gentle way (with safety for humans/horses paramount) to enhance potential for human and organizational development.
  • What’s unique about learning with horses (as distinguished from other natural settings which remove pace, pressures, demands of daily routine, e.g., ropes courses, retreats in Nature, etc.) is that the presence of horses creates a context for competency-building that enlarges capacity for deep thoughtfulness, clarified intention, and collaborative work. Our “horse work” encourages re-thinking with patience, clarity and focus, and engaging in meaningful dialogue that demonstrably enhances effectiveness. Client satisfaction exceeds expectations in  applicability of learning and competency of faculty.
  • Content is framed in “Ground Work” with the horses, and focuses on Presence, Nonverbal Communication, Trust-Respect-Appreciation, Inclusion, Innovation, Strategic Thinking, Focused Intention, Leadership, Relationship and more.
  • Participants engage in practical activities with horses, with many opportunities for reflection and 1-1 and small group dialogue.

Horse-Guided Executive & Life Coaching + Consulting for Organization Development

  • A unique methodology enhancing our 20-year coaching and consulting practice: Horses are born leaders, trusting their senses, knowing their purpose and taking clear action. The herd leader inspires herd members and develops their leadership potential. When humans engage with horses, they learn extraordinary things about themselves; and that learning provides more options, more choices for behavior and action in all aspects of life.
